On November 14, 2018, at the Illumina Theater in La Jolla from 9:30AM-5:00PM, Food Tank, in partnership with the University of California’s Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival is excited to announce the inaugural San Diego Food Tank Summit. The original marketing collateral for the event said THIS EVENT WILL SELL OUT. They were right! It’s sold out. The good news is the entire program on November 14th will also be available via livestream for free at www.foodtank.com, on YouTube, and on the Food Tank Facebook page.
The theme for this inaugural San Diego Summit is Growing the Food Movement. The Summit will feature more than 30 different speakers from the food and agriculture field led by top food journalists from San Diego Fox 5, NBC 7, the San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego CityBeat (I wonder who that will be), Eater San Diego, Edible Magazine San Diego, National Public Radio, Forbes Magazine, and more.
I will be involved in two panels. At 12:30 I’ll be a panelist on the 2nd panel: Creating Better Storytelling Around Food and Agriculture. At 3:30 I’ll be moderating the 4th panel: Farming for a Better Food System. The entire program is as follows:
