This coming Sunday, July 29, Bitter Brothers Brewing Co. is hosting it’s quarterly chef Family Dinner series featuring five All-Star BBQ greats, utilizing local proteins. The headline humans — as opposed to foodstuffs — are special guest chefs, Corbin O’Reilly, Andy Harris, Hanis Cavin, Brad Cooper, Tim Eylens, and Rick Daniels. The foodstuffs are from Alpine’s Tzaddik Farms and Bloom Family Farms along with a few other quality purveyors. Farmers Jeff Bloom & Nathan Rakov will be in attendance to talk about their farms.
Every quarter, Bitter Brothers’ owners — Bill Warnke & Monica Andresen — invite five chefs to be their guests at a special dinner pairing with Bitter Brothers’ beers. Unlike many beer pairing dinners, the chefs are given the opportunity to taste and choose all the beers prior to the dinner planning albeit strictly for inspiration purposes. The Dinners are loosely themed to allow for chefs to be as creative as they like. The Family Dinners tend to be slightly more elevated than the usual beer pairing dinner but for the BBQ Bash, they’re getting their hands (and yours) dirty.
Tickets are $75.00 per person. All proceeds of the Family Dinners go to raising funds to provide 20,000 meals per year through the charitable partner, Feeding San Diego. For more details and to purchase tickets go to http://bitterbrothers.com.
